Disclosure & editorial policy

Brands Can Send Products. They Can’t Buy Verdicts.

Here’s how NextWave Tested gets products, how we keep verdicts independent, and how we handle money, votes and mistakes.

How we get products

Products reach us three ways: a press loan from the brand (returned after the test), a review sample (kept, and labeled as kept), or a purchase by NextWave. The first line of every review says which.

Verdicts are ours

Brands never preview or approve a verdict. Providing a product, buying advertising or sponsoring a NextWave station has no effect on a verdict, a vote count or Claude’s pre-test score.

Advertising and sponsorships

Ads and sponsorships are always labeled and never placed inside a review. On air, sponsored segments are identified as sponsored.

Votes and predictions

Listener votes count one vote per email per brand. Prediction shares show only after 25 predictions. We never publish invented counts, reviews or testimonials.

Claude’s pre-test score

A research score NextWave made with Claude from public news before any testing: Fit × 0.4, News × 0.4, media Access × 0.2. It is dated, rescored only on a fixed schedule, and is not a product rating.

Affiliate links

NextWave Tested does not use affiliate links today. If that changes, we’ll disclose it above the first link on any page that has one.

Corrections

We fix factual errors and add a dated correction note to the page. Spotted one? Email [email protected].
